Mission and Vision Statements

The Kozmetsky Center of Excellence in Global Finance aims to enrich the intellectual life of the St. Edward’s University community, as well as inform the broader public, by making available expertise about major national and international public policy issues.  Specifically, the center focuses on global economic and political trends and their impact nationally and locally. This is consonant with the University’s commitment to serve as a major contributor to the common good through providing opportunities to better comprehend the complexities of an increasingly integrated world. As a consequence, the center facilitates interdisciplinary exchanges among experts with the participation of students, faculty and the broader public in a variety of forums ranging from the classroom to the boardroom.

The Kozmetsky Center of Excellence in Global Finance supports the objective of St. Edward's University to become one of the best small universities in the nation by providing resources to further the internationalization of the institution and its curriculum. This is consonant with the University's goal to educate for social justice via the center's work to promote increased comprehension of public policy issues that affect the common good.
