The 2010 Strategic Plan

Becoming one of the best small colleges in the U.S.

In pursuit of its mission, the administration at St. Edward’s University has continuously implemented strategic plans throughout the years. The current strategic plan was
established in 2000.

To achieve that plan, a set of seven Strategic Priorities was created to guide the
university community to become one of the best small universities in the country by 2010.
This vision has been the guiding force for all the strategic planning activities that the
university has since implemented. As we fulfill this vision, we are united in our efforts by eight Operating Principles, which flow from our Holy Cross and Catholic heritage.

Today, many of the individual goals set for attaining the vision have been reached and are demonstrated in the wide range of accolades that St. Edward’s is noted for. Also, the physical results can be seen all over the hilltop through a major facilities expansion. New, modern residence halls and classroom buildings are improving students’ experiences.
