Why I Teach
I provide my students with examples of how to explore ideas and to think critically and creatively. Teaching how to observe situations, evaluate and organize information, analyze ideas, and finally, apply their knowledge and skills to the world is central to my approach. In addition to being lifelong learners, I ask students to confront issues of social justice and participate in our society as responsible citizens.
Overall, my job is not to tell students what to think but to show them how to think for themselves.
