Why I Teach
My teaching philosophy stresses the development of students’ critical thinking skills and the discovery of their individual voices in a highly interactive classroom environment. This kind of atmosphere allows young people to become aware of different viewpoints and experiences as well as identify their own perspectives within our topics of study.
As a teacher-scholar, I have the opportunity to introduce new knowledge to my students — and this makes for very fulfilling work.
