Why I Teach

I embrace a humanist philosophy of life. I believe that every person is capable of achieving whatever he or she sets out to do. This belief also informs my teaching approach — to help my students realize their ambitions as both learners and individuals.

Classroom discussions are foundational to my teaching. This method allows students to freely direct and participate in dialogue and debate — and ultimately, to grow in their studies, careers and lives.
