Why I Teach

A former student thanked me for making her “really have to think hard about what I have already accomplished and what I needed to do to move ahead.” I take the St. Edward’s commitment to analytical and creative thinking very seriously in my approach to teaching, not just for the short-term results in class but also for the long-term impact on lifelong learning.

I teach because it provides me the opportunity to interact with students in ways that I hope will enrich their lives.
