Why I Teach

I try to simplify complicated course material for my students. My style is to use analogies and concrete examples to make the ideas more accessible. I also work to create a safe and supportive space in the classroom, so my students feel free to ask questions and express their own thoughts and opinions.

I love the moment when the light bulb turns on in a student’s mind. Sometimes, this happens in a classroom discussion or when a student scores well on a test. It’s exciting to be a part of this process.
