Why I Teach

I love working with students to help them develop their talents and knowledge. I enjoy hearing what students have to say and encourage them to develop their own voices. That’s why most of my courses tend to be short lectures with a lot of discussion and interaction.

I have great hope as students learn to explore and appreciate literature. I want them to develop an understanding of the world and to expand their ability to imagine more equitable, fulfilling ways of living.
