Why I Teach
My approach to teaching is to challenge students to be curious, tenacious and thorough. I create opportunities for individuals to develop those habits. By doing meaningful projects, we center on the core concepts of rhetoric: argument, purpose, audience, voice and ethics. Students are often capable of surprising me — and even themselves — with what they can accomplish.
Overall, I teach because I want to play a small part in designing the future.
