Why I Teach
All of my classes encourage active participation. I engage my students in a conversation about the course topics, ask them to raise questions, and then I structure the semester around their questions. I want them to have a rich experience with the material and understand how it relates to everyday life.
I enjoy watching my students grapple with questions — and grow, reaffirm, change and deepen their positions on various subjects. With teaching, we impact each other: I learn from my students, and hopefully they learn something from me.
