Why I Teach
My approach to teaching is to create a class environment that focuses on the pleasures of learning. When students enter my writing classroom, they find a comfortable and lively atmosphere that invites them to exercise critical thinking skills and to make progress with their writing practices.
If I can challenge my students to enjoy intellectual inquiry and experiment with new writing approaches, then I will have accomplished my goal to make them intrigued with learning. I take immense satisfaction when I see them grow more confident as they practice new means of communicating more effectively.
