Why I Teach
Teaching is about connection. I see teaching unfolding in practical, useful and simultaneously playful and inquisitive approaches. As a result, my personal teaching style involves immediacy, humor and critical pedagogy coupled with discussion and lecture.
I teach because I appreciate the interaction of ideas. Teaching is as much about encountering new ideas as it is about the dissemination of traditional concepts and skills. I also enjoy the challenge of creating innovative and interesting ways to encourage students to share in this discovery.
