Why I Teach

I tailor my teaching to the individual student: his or her skill level, interests, strengths and goals. While I am committed to the flexibility required for learning, I also value the importance of a firm technical basis and strong work ethic. With these three qualities, one can achieve ambitious goals as well as foster the enthusiasm and energy needed for original work.

I teach as a way to give back as well as stay actively engaged in my field. The creativity of my students and colleagues constantly inspires me in many ways.
