Why I Teach
When I teach, I use the strategy of aiming slightly above the heads of my students, so they have to challenge themselves as they learn. This method also invites them to stretch beyond their present level of understanding.
By word and example, the exceptional teachers of my life provided living proof that teaching was important. They taught me how to reach for serious understanding — and I hope that through my courses I’m able to show my students what is possible in the world of knowledge and learning.
