Why I Teach

I’m dedicated to providing opportunities for my students in and outside of the classroom. Often, I enlist my students to help with research in the field, giving them valuable experience as well as preparation for possible graduate studies. Historically, not many undergraduate programs offer these kinds of opportunities. Because of these experiences, many of my students go on to co-author research papers and present their work at major conferences.

I find that this kind of learning really makes the difference between walking and flying.
