Why I Teach

My teaching approach is to challenge individuals to explore, critically analyze and build their own knowledge. To this end, I use lectures, media, discussions, reading, research and writing projects that allow my students to gain deeper insights into social issues, problems and solutions.

Teaching also requires me to research, study and develop my own imagination and intellect. This is a joyous process of learning and discovery. Most important, I frequently get to witness the transformations of my own students in both small and profound ways.
