Why I Teach
My purpose as a teacher is to provide students with the tools to become lifelong explorers and knowledge-seekers. I strive to integrate experiential and conceptual learning. Through this hands-on approach, students work together to develop the important counseling skills to further their professional careers.
The ultimate goal in teaching is to create an environment in which students learn to critically evaluate material and derive their personal conclusions about the topic. True education is not indoctrination or telling students what to think, but rather helping them to learn how to think.
