What advice do you have for people applying to college?

Students should try to visit as many of the schools they are interested in as they can. Visiting is a great way to see what a college can offer and to be able to feel out the environment. St. Edward’s, for example, offers a variety of visit experiences for our prospective students. It’s important to get a sense of where you might spend the next few years!

Describe your idea of a perfect day in Austin?

My ideal day in Austin would start off with a breakfast taco from Tacodeli! Then, I’d go for a hike on one of the many Austin Greenbelt trails. If the weather is rainy, I may head over to spend some time at one of my favorite coffee shops to enjoy a good book and cozy atmosphere. Once the evening comes around, I’d grab dinner with friends and take an evening stroll to enjoy the stunning Austin nighttime skyline.

What’s your favorite thing about St. Edward’s?

I love the location of our campus. We’re in the heart of the city and just a few miles from downtown and some popular areas, with good food, live music and outdoors activities. The entire St. Edward’s community can take advantage of the city, and students have a variety of opportunities to maximize and diversify their college experiences. At the same time, campus itself is sort of tucked away and can be a great escape from the city.
