The best way to get to know St. Edward’s is to come see it (and Austin) for yourself. All campus visit programs are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis for prospective students.

Saturday Open House
Spring Saturday hours include campus tours at
9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and information sessions at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. This event is free and open to juniors, seniors and transfers at any application status.

Transfer Information Session
Friday, April 4
Join us from noon to 2 p.m. for this information session. Learn more about St. Edward’s, our majors and internship opportunities, and our transfer admission process. Lunch is provided and an optional campus tour is available after the session at 2 p.m. This is a free event. Please register by Tuesday, April 1.

Picture Yourself at St. Edward’s Day
Saturday, April 12
Accepted freshmen who have yet to visit campus are invited to spend the day at St. Edward’s. Attend a simulated class lecture, learn about our Living Learning Communities, tour the campus and meet current students. Then, close out the day with a party under the Sorin Oak. This event is free, and parents are welcome.

Spring Saturday hours include campus tours at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and information sessions at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. This event is free and open to juniors, seniors and transfers at any application status. Registration opens March 14.
If you can’t make it to a group event, we can set up a similar solo experience for you from September to April. Attend a class, meet with a professor, eat in the dining hall and stay overnight in a residence hall with a student host. Please schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance. Overnight visits are for high school seniors and transfer students.

Spring Visit Options
Our campus walking tours are led by current students and last about an hour and 15 minutes. Spring tours are offered Jan. 13–May 2 (excluding university holidays), Monday and Friday at 9:30 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours include a look inside academic buildings, the student center, athletic facilities and a residence hall. Please inform our tour coordinator if you need any specific accommodations.

While you’re here, you can also meet with an admission counselor to get answers to your questions and help us get to know you. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, call our office at 512-448-8500 or 800-555-0164.
We offer guided group tours for high school students from September to April. Tours may be scheduled for 10 a.m. or 1 p.m., Monday–Thursday. Group tour requests should be made at least three weeks in advance. Elementary and middle school groups are welcome to visit campus using our self-guided audio tour (see description at left). Please call our office at 800-555-0164 for more information about this option.

Pick up a map with instructions at the Ragsdale Center information desk or the kiosk by the Carriage House. You can also print the map and bring it with you.
St. Edward’s is located just minutes from downtown Austin. Wondering how to get to campus and where to stay? We recommend the Wyndham Garden Hotel, which offers a St. Edward’s visitor rate of $109 per night, including breakfast for two. The hotel is about a five-minute drive from campus.

Visitor Parking – Free visitor parking can be found in the lilac-colored zone marked “Restricted” and in the dark blue zone marked “Visitor Parking” on the parking map. To access the lilac-colored parking spaces behind the Carriage House, turn onto Andre Drive from Woodward Street. Turn right onto Moody Drive, and then a left into the parking lot. To access the dark blue parking spaces, please enter the university from Woodward, turning onto Theater Pass near the softball fields. Then turn right toward the parking garage and visitor lot.
