St. Edward’s University Alumni Trip to NYC.
May 15-20, 2008
The St. Edward’s Alumni Association is taking a trip to New York City on May 15-20, 2008. Join President (and Brooklyn native) George E. Martin on an insider’s tour of New York City. The trip highlights some of his favorite sites in the Big Apple. See the complete itinerary (pdf).
Alumni trip highlights:
- Lodging in the Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue (continental breakfast included)
- Cruise the harbor waterways on a sightseeing tour of historic Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty
- Visit area art museums and learn the do’s and don’ts of buying original works of art
- Visit the New York Botanical Gardens for a special exhibit on Charles Darwin
- Dine around the Big Apple at the exclusive Metropolitan Club, Roberto’s Restaurant in The Bronx and a farewell dinner at the award-winning River Café
- Attend Sunday Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral
- Take in a Broadway show
- Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the United Nations and lunch with guest speaker Denise Cook, Department of Political Affairs at the United Nations (arranged by Margaret Crahan, senior fellow, Kozmetsky Center of Excellence in Global Finance at St. Edward’s.)
