1,000 Hours of Service to Honor St. Edward
To help celebrate the 1,000th birthday of St. Edward, the Confessor and King, members of the university community are planning 1,000 hours of community service projects to begin Oct. 1 and run through Oct. 19 - the day before a campuswide celebration honoring the university's patron saint. Projects can be completed by groups and individuals, and all participants will receive a free T-shirt. To volunteer for or organize a service activity for alumni in your area, call 800-964-7833 or e-mail the Office of Alumni & Parent Programs.

Nominate Alumni for University Awards
At Homecoming 2006, St. Edward's will recognize alumni who live out the mission by making outstanding contributions to their professional, civic and religious communities. Help us recognize these individuals by nominating alumni for the Distinguished Alumni Award, Alumni Achievement Award or MBA Distinguished Alumni Award. Eligible nominees must have completed their education at St. Edward's University or St. Edward's High School, and awards may be presented posthumously. Read more about the criteria for the awards.
In addition, St. Edward's is accepting nominations for the Athletic Hall of
Fame. If you know a past university athlete (male or female) whom you would like to nominate,
please contact Kippi Griffith by e-mail or
call 512-448-8405. Deadline for all nominations: Oct. 15, 2005
