Come Back to Campus for Homecoming 2006
Catch up with classmates. See how campus has changed since you were a student. Reconnect with your favorite professors. How? Attend Homecoming 2006 on Feb. 10–12. You’ll enjoy all your favorite events — the Friday night welcome reception, the MBA alumni luncheon, Hilltopper basketball and a pre-game tailgate party, the Athletic Hall of Fame induction, Sunday Mass — as well as new events like campus tours that include the new Jacques Dujarié Hall and the John Brooks Williams Natural Sciences Center construction site. You’ll also celebrate with friends and professors as three alumni are recognized for service to their communities. And, if 2005–2006 is your 50th, 25th, 10th or 5th class reunion, you can be part of the planning for a special celebration for you and your classmates.
Early Bird Registration
Register by Dec. 15 and take advantage of a discounted price. Early birds will also be entered into a drawing for an Austin Weekend package including a Homecoming hotel stay and a uniquely Austin gift basket.

Alumni Answer the Call

More than 1,600 alumni and friends answered the university’s call for support this fall — literally. As part of Phonathon 2005, about 50 students from St. Edward’s telephoned alumni, parents and donors to ask for their support for student scholarships and programs like Athletics and Campus Ministry, which are supported through The St. Edward’s Fund. More alumni than ever contributed to this fall’s Phonathon. And the percentage of alumni who give back to St. Edward’s — no matter how big or small the gift — is one of the factors that organizations like U.S. News & World Report use to calculate annual university rankings. In total, alumni contributed $168,474 for The St. Edward’s Fund through the fall Phonathon — an increase of 7 percent from last year.
Did you miss supporting your favorite program or scholarship during Phonathon? Be sure to get your gift in before Dec. 31 to take advantage of end-of-year tax benefits.
