Alumni Spur Campaign Momentum

At a current level of $66 million, A Special Destiny: The Campaign for St. Edward's University has reached its financial goal a year ahead of schedule, but our momentum hasn't stopped. As the campaign continues through June 30, 2007, the university aims to meet two ambitious goals:

  • Give more students the opportunity to experience a
    St. Edward's University education
  • Gain national recognition as one of America 's best
    small universities

One of the most important projects for St. Edward's is to
fund a new chapel
.

Grassroots Efforts Key to Continued Success
Building on the university's unprecedented success, grassroots efforts have sprung up coast to coast among the university's alumni chapters. Local volunteers are conveying that involvement at every level has an impact on the future of the university.

"Our involvement with St. Edward's does not end with graduation," notes Andrew Harper, '03, Austin Alumni Chapter Advancement Chair. "As lifelong members of the university community, it is our responsibility to ensure that St. Edward's maintains its outstanding reputation. By giving both time and financial resources to the university through alumni sponsored activities, we help guarantee that future Hilltoppers have access to the valuable educational experience that is unique to St. Edward's."

So, in addition to planning meaningful events that connect our alumni to one another, chapters are also working hard to secure regional support for A Special Destiny and help the university reach new heights.

You can help make the final year of the campaign a success by becoming an Advancement Committee volunteer in your local area. Contact Kippi Griffith, MBA '01, for details.
