Five Ways That Alumni Can Get Involved.
As a member of the St. Edward's University alumni community, you are in a unique position to stay involved in the life of the university. Plus, your input will help shape upcoming alumni programs, the student experience, chapter activities and much more. Have questions about the Alumni Association?
You can get involved in any of these ways...
- Serve as an alumni admission volunteer. As an alumni admission volunteer, you can:
- Share your own college experience with prospective students at recruiting fairs around the globe
- Answer questions from prospective students
- Attend admission/alumni events
- Contact recently admitted students,
and generally be "a goodwill ambassador" to prospective students. So, if you are
interested in making a difference in the life of a future Hilltopper, send
us an e-mail.
- Share your experiences with current students. Share your real-world career experiences in a class, on a panel, in a workshop or at a special event. If you are interested in speaking on campus or at a local alumni event, let us know.
- Lead a local alumni chapter. The St. Edward's University Alumni Association currently has 12 alumni chapters nationally and internationally. We're always looking for talented alumni to assist in building and maintaining these groups. If you don't have a chapter near you, why don't you consider starting one? Or, you can serve on the steering committee of a local chapter. If you have interest in either of these roles, contact us.
- Make a gift to St. Edward's University. Show your commitment and help make the St. Edward's University educational experience possible for a deserving student by making a gift to the St. Edward's Fund. Did you know that more than half of all the gifts to the St. Edward's Fund are from alumni? If you'd like to make a gift or want to know more about other giving opportunities, contact the Office of University Advancement.
- Recruit new employees from St. Edward's University. We would love to help you with your on-campus recruiting and job-posting efforts. If you're involved in hiring for your company, contact the Career Planning Office.
