These pages are intended for students
who have applied for a study abroad program. For general
information about studying abroad at St. Edward’s,
please see The Study Abroad Process.
Accepted Students
Congratulations on your decision to study
abroad! The Office of International Education will be with
you every step of the way as you arrange the details of
your study abroad program, while you are abroad, and when
you return!
When you receive your acceptance packet
from your program provider or host university, please make
an appointment with an advisor in the OIE. Your advisor
can help you determine what forms you need to fill out and
return to your provider and what else you need to do to
prepare for your trip.
In some ways, the work is just beginning
when you apply to a study abroad program. From getting your
passport and visa, to arranging your airfare and in-country
travel, to confirming the use of financial aid, to making
sure your courses will transfer back to St. Edward’s,
the Office of International Education helps you "dot
your i’s and cross your t’s" so that you
have a successful study abroad experience. Remember, while
it may not seem that way, you are that much closer to an
amazing abroad experience!

Students who have been accepted into their study abroad programs will receive each chapter in a weekly email installment up until the time of their departure. The Bon Voyage Chapters have also been made available online for both students and parents to review. Click the links below to view these chapters. Please note that the information provided in these chapters is not comprehensive and that Pre-Departure Orientation will address these topics in greater detail.
