Last year, St. Edward's piloted online tutoring through a contract with third-party provider Smarthinking. As a result of what we learned through this pilot, we have discontinued our relationship with Smarthinking and will instead offer online writing assistance through an in-house Online Writing Lab (OWL).
We are about to begin testing of the St. Edward's OWL and expect to have this service online for New College students and distance learners by the beginning of October. Traditional undergraduates are encouraged to take advantage of the Writing Center or, if they prefer, to contact our office for tutoring.
