APSS Mission Statement
APSS enacts the university's
wider mission of championing broad-based learning, developing
independent, productive students and providing a welcoming, open
environment.
Our goals are to assist students in making the transition to
college, to help them acquire the skills and knowledge to be
successful in school and beyond, and to provide an atmosphere
of respect, excellence, and collegiality in which students may
explore and develop their own unique potential.
In support of these goals, APSS
offers academic and disability counseling, advising, tutoring,
and opportunities in international education and educational
enrichment.

necessary to make an educated choice for their major. Services
offered include additional meetings with their academic
counselor, career advising
appointments and special events.
