Michael Harris is a professor of Accounting in the School of Management and Business. He has taught at St. Edward's since 1998. He is also a certified public accountant with more than 35 years of professional experience, including serving as chief financial officer for two companies. Harris earned his doctorate at UT-Austin. In 2004, Harris received the university's Distinguished Teaching Award. Outside the classroom, Harris is involved in competitive swimming and long distance running. Harris lives in Austin with his wife KK, a healthcare consultant to both the City of Austin and the State of Texas.
