St. Edward's University Athletic Director Debbie Taylor announced the hiring of Greg Cooper as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management. Cooper comes to St. Edward's after serving as Game Operations Intern at Miami (Ohio) University this past academic year.
While at Miami University, Cooper oversaw all guest operations and security for football, men's and women's basketball, and ice hockey. He oversaw all parking operations and credentialing. Cooper also was game operations manager for softball, volleyball, and women's soccer.
Prior to Miami University, Cooper was a graduate assistant in the Slippery Rock University Athletic Department for the 2007-08 academic year. There, he assisted with event management at all home athletic contests, managed all concessions operations and assisted with NCAA compliance functions.
Cooper was also a facility operations intern in the Recreational Sports Department at The Ohio State University in the Spring of 2007.
The Wooster, Ohio native holds a bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Otterbein College. While at Otterbein, Cooper was a four-year letterwinner for the Cardinal basketball team. He also graduated from Slippery Rock University with a master's degree in Sport Management.
