Land and Mullenax selected as CoSIDA Academic All-District

AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's seniors Taylor Land and Taylor Mullenax were both selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team on Friday. Land was named to the first team, while Mullenax was placed on the second team.

Land, a native of Highland Village, Texas, has produced a perfect 4.0 grade-point average since arriving on the hilltop. He has also been the starting point the entire last two seasons. On the court, Land has averaged 3.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and a team-high 4.7 assists a contest this season. His assists per game average puts him third in the Heartland Conference.

Mullenax, a Beaumont, Texas native, has produced a 3.44 grade-point average since arriving on the hilltop. He has started every game but two since his sophomore season. This season, Mullenax leads the team with 14.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Mullenax was named first-team all-Heartland Conference his sophomore season, and honorable mention all-Heartland Conference his junior season.

St. Edward's will be back in action Saturday when they host Heartland Conference rival St. Mary's. Tip-off is slated for 4:30 p.m. at the Recreation and Convocation Center.
