#22 Hilltoppers fall to #7 Cameron, 5-3
AUSTIN, Texas - The #22 St. Edward's men's tennis team dropped a 5-3 decision to #7 Cameron Saturday afternoon at Brother Emmet Strohmeyer Varsity Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, St. Edward's (7-10) dropped two of the three matches. Sophomore Justin Raiti and Boris Barrios teamed up to defeat Augustin Creado and Samin Saji, 8-3, at the number three position.
In singles play, Raiti bested #50 Jordi Muller, 6-1, 6-7, 10-5, at the number one position. Sophomore Bernard Lancaster downed Samij, 6-4, 6-4 at the number four position.
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Saturday when they travel to take on #13 Abilene Christian. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. in Abilene, Texas.
