2008 Athletic Camps

Aspiring student-athletes of all skill levels can head to the hilltop this summer for a variety of sports camps that will help improve their game.

Boys' Basketball Camp--Ages 6-14
Register now
June 23-26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Learn basketball fundamentals and develop your skills with the St. Edward's University men's basketball team and coaching staff. Please bring your snack or lunch.
Cost: $95 before June 16, $110 after June 16

Girls' Basketball Camp--Ages 7-13 (Grades 2-8)

June 16-19, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Develop and refine your fundamental skills, including shooting, offensive moves, defense, rebounding and team play. Please bring your own snack.
Cost: $95 before June 9, $110 after June 9

Cheerleading Camp--Ages 7-12

July 8-10, 10 a.m.-noon
Taught by St. Edward's University Cheerleading Team, this fun, game-oriented camp will focus on stretching, tumbling, jumping, cheering and dancing.
Cost: $75

Girls' Soccer Camps

     Ages 5-8
     June 9-13, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. 
     Are you a younger player looking to improve your game? Develop fundamental soccer      skills while also having a good time! Please bring your own snack/lunch.
     Cost: $150 before June 1, $160 after June 1

     Ages 9-14 
     June 9-13, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
     Take your game to the next level with a week of in-depth training. Learn the technical and      tactical approaches you can put into practice in small-sided games with your fellow      campers. Please bring your own snack/lunch.
     Cost: $250 before June 1, $260 after June 1

This camp provides the optimal mix of high-quality teaching and personal attention with daily emphasis on development, team play, and hitting, base-running and throwing drills.
Cost: $365 overnight, $265 extended day

     Hitters Clinic
     July 10, 1-4 p.m.
     Strengthen your hitting skills and learn about technique, various shots, quick sets, and      back row attack.

     Quick Set and Hit Clinic
     July 11, 9 a.m.-noon
     Focus on setting and hitting fast tempo attacks, including 1's, 3's, slides, a's and step-in's.

     High School Camp 
     July 14-15, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
     Strengthen your fundamental skills and learn vital team concepts that will help you develop      into a complete team player. Lunch provided during noon-2 p.m. break.

     Pass and Serve Clinic
     July 16, 9 a.m.-noon
     Learn about important serving and passing techniques and strategies, including passing      overhand, top-spin and both float and jump serves.

     Dig and Block Clinic
     July 17, 9 a.m.-noon
     Focus on your digging and blocking skills: technique, defensive progression, defensive eye      sequencing and movement.

     Setters Clinic
     July 18, 9 a.m.-noon
     Improve your setting skills, including technique, attacking (or dumping), setting the quick      set and jump setting.

     8th Grade and Younger Camp
     July 21-22, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
     Focuses on building fundamental skills and concepts that are vital in continuing      development of a successful player. Lunch provided during noon-2 p.m. break.
