Procedures & Guidelines
To ensure the health and safety of students participating in Athletics at St. Edward’s the university offers athletic secondary insurance. Make sure any claims you may file through athletic secondary insurance are eligible for reimbursement by understanding the policies and guidelines in the pre-participation packet given to your student-athlete at the beginning of the academic year.

Filing Procedures for Athletic Sponsored Insurance
To file for athletic sponsored insurance with the university, you will need to send a copy of your insurance provider’s billing statement and proof of applied benefits. An acceptable proof of applied benefits includes:

• A copy of your insurance company explanation of benefits form
• A proof of payment located on billing statement
