St. Edward's University

Named assistant athletic trainer in 2005, Chris Magott comes to St. Edward's University after spending six months as an athletic trainer at Texas Lutheran University. Prior to working at Texas Lutheran, he was a contract athletic trainer at McKenna Memorial Hospital in New Braunfels.

During the 2006-2007 school year, Magott received the "Outstanding Athletic Staff Member" from the student-athletes.

Magott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Texas Lutheran University and a master’s degree in Physical Education/Exercise Science from Texas State University–San Marcos. While at Texas State, he also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
