Abbott produces season-low time, Hilltoppers finish 20th at Cowboy Jamboree
STILLWATER, Okla. - St. Edward's sophomore Lara Abbott ran a season-best time of 20:47 to finish in 58th place and lead the women's cross country team to a 20th place finish out of 26 teams Saturday morning at the OSU Cross Country Course.
Also competing for the Hilltoppers were freshmen Allison Flood (21:49) and Amanda Shook (22:24) who finished 92nd and 108th, respectively. Seniors Jane Rogers (24:10), Kevyn Oakes (24:26), and Sarah Ortiz (24:45) finished 135th, 138th, and 143rd, respectively.
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Oct. 18, when they take part in the Heartland Conference Championship. The women's race will begin in Dallas, Texas at 9 a.m.
