SAN ANTONIO, Texas - St. Edward's senior Kevyn Oakes and freshman Allison Flood both competed Saturday morning in the NCAA South Central Regional Meet at Live Oak City Park.
Flood, a Fort Worth, Texas native, ended with a time of 25:57, which was good enough for 107th place. Oakes, a Sugar Land, Texas native, finished with a time of 29:14, which was good enough for 125th place.
There were a total of 130 participants from 19 different teams.
This meet ends the 2008 season for the Hilltoppers. This season the team made great strides as a team. With first-year head coach Tony Riehl returning for his second season and the experience gained by a young team, the outlook for the 2009 season is very promising.
