Baker and O'Brien named co-Heartland Conference Golfers of the Week
DALLAS, Texas - St. Edward's freshmen Kirby Baker and Dina O'Brien were named co-Heartland Conference Golfers of the Week on Friday.
Baker finished tied for second with O'Brien at the 2008 Broncho Masters this week. She shot rounds of 73 and 80 and finished only two strokes out of first place. She helped the Hilltoppers win their first tournament of the season as they bested the field by 13 strokes. Baker has finished in the Top-10 in three-straight tournaments this fall.
O'Brien finished tied for second with Baker at the 2008 Broncho Masters this week. She shot rounds of 75 and 78 and finished only two strokes out of first place. She helped the Hilltoppers win their first tournament of the season as they bested the field by 13 strokes. O'Brien has finished in the Top-20 in all four fall tournaments for St. Edward's.
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Feb. 23-24, when they take part in the Lady Rattler Roundup. The two-day event will be held at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
