Kvinta, again named Heartland Conference Golfer of the Week
DALLAS, Texas - St. Edward's senior Emily Kvinta was named Heartland Conference Women's Golfer of the Week by the conference office. This is the third-straight week she has received the honor. So far she is 3-for-3 during the first three Player of the Week awards.
Kvinta won her second tournament this season, taking home medalist honors at the Bubba Watson Invitational in Pensacola, Florida. She shot an opening-round 76, and then followed that up with a final-round 74. She finished with an eight-shot victory, while her team ended in second place, just two shots off the lead. Kvinta now has six career victories as a Hilltopper.
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Oct. 6, when they take part in the Broncho Master's Fall Classic. The two-day event will be held at Fairfax Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.
