St. Edward’s volleyball signs one for 2008 season
AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's Head Volleyball Coach Sean Donahue announced the signing of one individual on Wednesday morning. High School senior Michaella Walton will join the Hilltoppers for the 2008-09 season.
Walton, a senior at Klein High School, was a four-year letterwinner for Cindy Miksch. She was named second-team all-district her junior and senior seasons and helped lead her team to district championships her sophomore through senior seasons. Walton was also a member of the Junior Olympics. She chose St. Edward's over Dallas Baptist and Houston.
St. Edward's finished the 2007 season with a 16-14 record and placed third in the Heartland Conference. The Hilltoppers also reached the semifinals of the Heartland Conference Tournament.
