Lucas named Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week

DALLAS, Texas – Hilltopper sophomore Kendall Lucas was named Heartland Conference Hitter of the week by league officials on Tuesday. The award was for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5.

Lucas (Round Rock, Texas/Hutto HS) led the Hilltoppers to a 1-2 record in last weekend’s St. Mary’s DII College Classic. The infielder hit .750 on the week with six hits, two doubles, and two RBI. She also had three walks to account for a .818 on-base percentage.

St. Edward's will be back in action Friday when they take on Eastern New Mexico in Canyon, Texas. The two games against the Zias are set to begin at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
