Graduate
Program Admission
Criteria
Applicants
to St. Edwards University graduate business programs
must hold an undergraduate degree from a regionally
accredited college or university or its equivalent.
To be considered for admission United States citizens
and residents should do the following:
-
Complete the application form and submit it,
with the $45 application fee and response
to the essay question, to: Center for Academic
Progress, Attn: Graduate Admission, 3001 S.
Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704.
- Submit
official transcripts of all previous college
work (one from each institution attended).
Official transcripts must be sent by the issuing
institution directly to the Center for Academic
Progress.
- Arrange
for the Educational Testing Service to send
official reports of scores received on the
GMAT or GRE (if necessary).

Admission Criteria |
- Bachelors
degree from a regionally accredited institution;
- Demonstrated
scholastic achievement at the undergraduate
level evidenced by a minimum grade point average
of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of study (applicants
that do not meet the minimum GPA may apply
for conditional admission);
- Aptitude
for graduate study indicated by a minimum
GMAT of 500 or GRE of 1,000 (composite of
quantitative and verbal scores). Applicants
educated at the college level in a language
other than English must demonstrate oral and
written English proficiency by attaining a
minimum of 550 (213 computer based score)
on the TOEFL examination). Applicants that
meet the minimum GPA and have more than three
years of professional work experience may
waive the GMAT or GRE requirement (please
see conditional admission);
- Evidence
of ability to assume responsibility in the
work environment. Professional work experience
is highly desirable. A large majority of graduate
business students have more than five years'
professional work experience;
- Completed
application form with supporting documents
and application fee.

Unconditional
Admission
The School of Management and Business assesses each
applicant's potential to contribute and successfully
complete the graduate program. An applicant who applies
for unconditional admission must meet the following
criteria:
- Bachelor's
degree or its equivalent from a regionally
accredited institution;
- a
minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of
undergraduate study;
- a
minimum score of 500 on the GMAT or 1000 on
the GRE (verbal + quantitative)
- INTERNATIONAL
APPLICANTS: a minimum score of 550 on the
TOEFL.

Conditional Admission
The
School of Management and Business assesses each applicant's
potential to contribute and successfully complete a
graduate program. A student who applies for conditional
admission must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's
degree or its equivalent from a regionally
accredited institution;
- Minimum
of 3 years professional work experience
- INTERNATIONAL
APPLICANTS: a minimum score of 550 on the
TOEFL

meet one of the following two criteria: |

- a
minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of
undergraduate study;
- a
minimum score of 500 on the GMAT or 1000 on
the GRE (verbal + quantitative)

At the conclusion of the term in which a conditionally
admitted student completes or exceeds 12 hours, his
or her academic record will be reviewed. If the GPA
is above 3.0, the student will be allowed to continue
the program and the conditional status will be removed.
If the GPA is below 3.0, the student will be dismissed
from the program and not allowed to continue.
Readmission
Students
who stop out for three consecutive trimesters after
completing one or more courses must reapply if they
wish to continue the program. Students accepted into
a program that defer enrollment for four or more consecutive
trimesters must reapply to begin the program.
To
reapply, students must submit a new application and
pertinent supportive documents (e.g. transcripts of
any academic work completed during the interim, current
resume, and a letter of intent).
