MBA
Concentration: Entrepreneurship
The
Entrepreneurship course work is designed for maximum
experiential learning in areas ranging from self-assessment
of entrepreneurial skills and attitudes to field research
in existing entrepreneurial organizations. In addition
to the basic courses for entrepreneurial success,
students have an opportunity to choose from a number
of elective courses that target specialty areas such
as high-tech, the retail and services sectors, and
the food service industry. Specialty courses also
have been designed to address the unique opportunities
and challenges for women and minority entrepreneurs.
The concentration culminates in a business plan competition
judged by entrepreneurs, investors and faculty members.
Phase I & II
The
MBA program consists of 18–22 semester hours
of foundation courses in Phase I, and 36–39
semester hours in Phases II-IV (depending upon the
concentration). After reviewing the student’s
transcripts at the time of admission, the MBA Advisor
determines
the number of foundation courses a student must take.
