Administration
The Administration concentration focuses on management and leadership skills needed by effective administrators. In addition to the core courses (18 hours), students in this area must successfully complete four required courses (12 hours) and complete two elective courses for which they meet prerequisites (six hours) with a GPA of 3.0 or above for the degree.
Core Courses: (18 hours)
All degree-seeking MAHS students must successfully complete the following six core courses:
HSCO 6311 Planning, Programming, Budgeting: Review and Analysis
HSCO 6313 Organizational Management in Human Services
HSCO 6314 Leadership Development in Group Relations
HSCO 6315 Legal and Ethical Issues in Human Services
HSCO 6316 Methods of Research
HSCO 6317 Systemic Intervention
Concentration: 12 hours
Required courses:
HSAD 6330 Project Management and Evaluation
HSAD 6331 Communication in Administration
HSAD 6332 Administration Principles
HSAD 6327 Performance Management
Elective Courses: 6 hours
Choice of two electives from the following offerings:
MGMT 6199/MGMT 6299 Executive Seminar Series (to equal three credit hours)
Any MAHS courses with their prescribed prerequisites.
Certificate in Administration
A student may earn the Certificate in Administration by completing the following six courses (18 hours) indicated below with a GPA of 3.0 or above and no grade below a B.
