The Social and Psychological Services concentration is for students who desire studies in the human elements of management and supervision. In addition to the core courses (18 hours), students in this concentration must successfully complete four social and psychological services required courses (12 hours) and two electives (six hours) with a GPA of 3.0 or above for the degree.

Core Courses: (18 hours)

All degree-seeking MAHS students must successfully complete the following six core courses:
HSCO 6311 Planning, Programming, Budgeting: Review and Analysis
HSCO 6313 Organizational Management in Human Services
HSCO 6314 Leadership Development in Group Relations
HSCO 6315 Legal and Ethical Issues in Human Services
HSCO 6316 Methods of Research
HSCO 6317 Systemic Intervention

Concentration: 12 hours

Required courses:
CNCO 6351 Counseling Skills and Techniques
CNCO 6355 Counseling Diverse Populations
CNCO 6356 Human Growth and Development
CNSL 6362 Career Development and Planning or
CNCO 6363 Legal and Ethical Issues for Health Care Professionals

Elective Courses: 6 hours
