Personnel Law
This course is an in-depth journey into the history of
our employment laws, an analysis of current laws and an
overview of trends. Students learn how to apply the principles
of law to the factual situations encountered by managers
on a daily basis. Topics such as discrimination, privacy,
employee selection and testing and workplace safety are
covered. Students design policies and procedures, investigatory
processes and conflict resolution systems. The course
also addresses the legal requirements of union environments.
Students are constantly required to examine the conflict
between legal and ethical decisions. |
