Getting Around:
A “Pedestrian-First” Approach
Walking around campus is a breeze — and safer — thanks to major improvements to pedestrian pathways and crosswalks. It’s all part of the university’s “pedestrian-first” approach to the center of our campus. A new crosswalk on Moody Drive gives residents of Dujarié Hall direct access to the heart of campus, while a walkway between Moody and Fondren Halls incorporates a brick wall that screens out the view of the nearby parking lot and eases the sound of traffic in Ragsdale Plaza. Plus, a pedestrian path on the north side of Trustee Hall shortens the walk from Main Building to the north and west sides of campus.
