Campus Directional KioskGetting Around:
A “Pedestrian-First” Approach

Walking around campus is a breeze — and safer — thanks to major improvements to pedestrian pathways and crosswalks. It’s all part of the university’s “pedestrian-first” approach to the center of our campus.

  • A crosswalk on Moody Drive gives residents of Dujarié Hall direct access to the heart of campus.
  • A walkway between Moody and Fondren Halls incorporates a brick wall that screens out the view of the nearby parking lot and eases the sound of traffic in Ragsdale Plaza.
  • A pedestrian path on the north side of Trustee Hall shortens the walk from Main Building to the north and west sides of campus.
  • A new pedestrian street and gathering place weaves through the center of our new residential village on the east side of campus. It provides a convenient crossroad to all points on campus and shortens the walk to the university’s apartments.

Take a Walking Tour
While on campus, be sure to check out the directional kiosk between the Carriage House and Fondren Hall:
  • Follow the walking tour and let our three-dimensional map guide you through our historic campus.
  • Read up on traditions, myths and legends surrounding St. Edward’s University.
