Living and Learning in the Heart of Campus

View of Trustee Hall, a building that offers the latest instructional and audiovisual technology. In the early years of St. Edward’s University, residence halls and classroom facilities were built in close proximity to Main Building, creating a tight-knit community of living and learning. While our community bond has always remained strong, rapid growth throughout the 1950s and 1960s forced expansion to the campus perimeter.

Under our master plan the hilltop is the focus of new development, reinforcing this area as the heart of the university. Walks to and from most buildings are now typically five or fewer minutes, ensuring a pedestrian-friendly campus for current and future generations.

New campus buildings to date include:

  • Trustee Hall, an impressive addition that offers the latest instructional and audiovisual technology. Since opening its doors in Fall 2002, Trustee Hall has garnered numerous awards and media attention.
  • Basil Moreau Hall, completed in 2003, and Jacques Dujarié Hall finished in 2005, improve student living with easy access to classes, dining services, athletic facilities and the Scarborough-Phillips Library.
  • A new four-level parking garage has opened east of the Diane Daniels Softball Field - just a five minute walk to the center of campus.
