Premont Hall

With the completion of Basil Moreau Hall in 2003 and Jacques Dujarié Hall in 2005, students enjoy state-of-the-art living with easy access to classes, dining services, athletic facilities and the Scarborough-Phillips library. But they’re not the only ones who benefit: St. Edward’s is renovating a number of existing buildings to provide new office space for faculty and
staff members.

Once a residence hall, Premont Hall now provides more than 50 faculty and program offices. An Inviting Atmosphere
Walking into Premont Hall, you’d never guess the building was once a residence hall. Chic signage runs the corridor and accents such as vintage-inspired fixtures give the building an inviting atmosphere. With the seamless flow of the design and warm color palette, you’d also never guess that what is now the office of Human Resources was once an outdoor corridor. But don’t think the outside has suffered: renovations also included the development of a shaded outdoor space and picnic area where students, as well as faculty and staff members, can escape the Texas sun.

After months of planning and construction the building now provides more than 50 faculty offices and updated space for:

  • Instructional Computing
  • Center for Teaching Excellence
  • Office of Faculty Grants
  • Business Office
