Taking inspiration from landmark structures at St. Edward's — Main Building and Holy Cross Hall — Andersson’s team spent nine months collaborating with students, faculty members, administrators and university trustees to create a design that considers the needs of the current and future community while honoring the university’s history and values. Thoughtful design elements include a bas-relief cross and a prominent post for a statue of the university's patron saint, St. Edward.
Form and Function
Trustee Hall also is a feat of modern engineering that maximizes space and minimizes waste. Home of the School of Management and Business, the building features 15 classrooms, including three computer classrooms with workstations for 28 students each. Energy-saving design elements also decrease the building's consumption of natural resources.
