The best studying tip I could give would be to find out what type of questions might be asked and do your best to expose yourself to your subject. CLEP exams are a bit intimidating, but not impossible. Each CLEP experience I had helped me to prepare for the next. The Testing Coordinator could not have been nicer or more helpful. I enjoyed my CLEP experience at SEU!

My CLEP experience has been very positive. It has allowed me to use my current knowledge to save time, money and focus more on my degree plan core classes. I studied using current class textbook glossaries, chapter summaries, along with the CLEP study guide. The most important test strategies are to not watch the clock, read each question carefully, eliminate the answers you know are wrong and focus on the two possible right answers. Most of all, relax and remember you can always take the test again.

The CLEP program at SEU has significantly helped me in obtaining core credits quickly. With a busy schedule, the CLEP exams and self study time are a blessing. I recommend 5-6 weeks of study time. I successfully studied for and passed Biology and U.S. History I CLEP exams over one summer. What a help!

First of all, my thanks to the Testing Coordinator! Your professional and effective manner helps you get the testing dates scheduled quickly. Also, your friendly smile helps ease “pre-testing anxiety”. Here are a few testing tips: when taking a test, don’t spend eternity agonizing over the very hard questions. Give it time. Choose one and mark it for review at the end. If you’re not sure about the answer to a question, it helps to think of what answers are definitely wrong. The CLEP Program at SEU is still helping me get my degree!

My CLEP experience has been pleasant. I have to admit the atmosphere is pretty grueling which is due to the stress of passing each test. If it wasn’t for the opportunity of the CLEP exams at SEU, I would not be graduating at this time of my life. I’m very grateful for CLEP and the times available at SEU.

To prepare for the Spanish CLEP exam, I would suggest that students listen and understand conversations in Spanish as well as reading articles or newspapers in Spanish. By brushing up on Spanish verbal and written comprehension, students will be ready for a large portion of the test. The Spanish CLEP exam at SEU allowed me to earn the necessary hours in a foreign language required for my degree plan.
